The Arrogance is unFreakin' believable!

Sorry people, I can't take it any more.

When President-Elect Obama compared himself to Lincoln - The Great Emancipator, I vowed to zip it and not point out he hadn't done anything yet. Yes. He was taking over the reigns of a country divided and had big plans for healing...however, I felt, he needed to earn that kind of respect.

I told myself not to pass any judgement for the first 100 days. Let him get his feet wet. Let him find some footing.

That was until yesterday.

"I would put these first four months up against any prior administration since FDR," Obama said.

That, my friends, is pure unadulterated arrogance...

Let me ask you these questions:

  • Would Kennedy have greeted and then entertained Castro and Chavez like family?
  • Would Reagan have shut down our CIA systems around the world in the middle of a War on Terror?
  • Would Roosevelt excuse all the terrorists of the U.S.S. Cole, Gitmo and the 9/11 masterminds?
  • Did Clinton make his first call as Mr. President to Mahmoud Abbas, leader of Fatah party in the Palestinian territory or grant his first interview as prez on Al Arabia television?

Those are just a few of the posts that were dying to get typed. Not to mention the fact he recently signed an executive order (he wrote it back in Feb.) of presidential determination allowing hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to settle in the United States at American taxpayers' expense. By executive order, President Barack Obama has ordered the expenditure of $20.3 million in migration assistance to the Palestinians. (Federal Register FR Doc. E9-2488) Did you read that?

It's a done deal. We are now going to pay the way to the American Dream for people who openly hate America. Niiiice.

Today he is with Abbas shaking his finger at Israel.

Note to my Big Shooter: I know you wanted me to rant about the D-Day snub, but I couldn't get past the "I am the greatest thing since sliced bread" insinuation. In 44 months will there even be words great enough to describe his administration?

In 44 months he may find a way to shut you down.

I'm still totally amazed people even voted him into office! He's not for our country and continues to prove it and people will continue to deny that fact.

Okay. Here we go.

1. These posts - I love them, because I love your GUTS to say what really needs to be said.

But 2. They make me feel really ignorant.

And therefore 3. Stupid

But mostly 4. SCARED.

KEEP THESE POSTS COMING. I don't care what Big Shooter has to say about them.

(Is your feed to me broken? Haven't seen you in these parts for a while.... and I noticed your sidebar latest post is horribly outdated.....)

Obama is one of the worst things that's happened to America. I'm afraid that after 4 years is done, we won't ever see yesterday's America again.

We've taken to referring to him as "Our Benevolent Leader". He scares the crap out of us.

You know I wholeheartedly agree with your thoughts on this!
I'd, also, like to add a few definitions to BHO's addition of "grace under fire = him"! Egotistical = BHO Pompous = BHO
and Cocky = BHO!!
He needs to be reminded that the truly GREAT, NEVER talked about themselves that way!
He needs a huge dish of HUMILITY, but I'm afraid that's going to come at a huge cost to our great nation!
I, 2nd, the commenter who said that after 4 years of this, we'll never see the America of yesterday again. She will be history. :(

I read an article yesterday...
the jest of it was that most of the people that go into medicine are vain and arrogant.

For a physician there is a Hippcratic Oath... this is just a part

'[I swear] to hold the physician who has taught me this art as equal to my parent, and to regard his offspring as equal to my brothers, and furthermore, to teach them this art... to give a share of precepts and instruction and all other learning to my sons and to the sons of him who has instructed me.'

I do not believe that I have ever been treated by a physician who has treated me like family.

I just looked up this line...

[I will prescribe regimens for the good of my patients according to my ability and my judgment and never do harm to anyone.]

I have many that have handed me Rx drugs like they were jelly beans at a candy store.

This is too long...
but what I am trying to say. There are some jobs that ego and arrogance are necessary... or nobody would ever hold the position. I do not think that anyone who aspires to this level of public eminence can really be anything but arrogant.

I also must add that President Obama is NOT the first one to fit the definition of arrogant.

ps. I apologize for my round about way to say what I had in my head... but just couldn't come out with it. I wanted you to have some background and understanding to my opinion.

His arrogance is what has troubled me about this man since I first saw him speak at the DNC five years ago. I think it is arrogance so utterly out of control that the results could be frightening. God help us.
